After getting upset by the eighth-seeded Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks headed into the NBA offseason with high hopes of keeping some of their best players on the roster while adding other pieces to the puzzle for next season.
The team’s top priority this summer seemed to be re-signing arguably the second-best player on the squad behind Giannis Antetokounmpo in Khris Middleton.
Fortunately for Milwaukee, the team was able to see eye-to-eye on a new deal with Middleton, who inked a three-year deal worth over $100 million.
Although Middleton is one of the latest players to have a contract over $100 million, he isn’t the most popular of players in the league due to his recent injury history, especially when the Bucks were trying to repeat.
Middleton recently sat down with Complex Sports to play “I Got Time Today,” and some of the things said by fans were a bit harsh.
"You think there's people out there where their favorite player is just, Khris Middleton?" 😂 @Khris22m plays "I Got Time Today" with @Complex. pic.twitter.com/BqTyVFh1qs

Despite getting some hateful comments, Middleton seemed to be in good spirits while taking the negativity in stride because not all the comments were gut punches.
A lot of people do believe that if Middleton didn’t get hurt in the Bucks’ title defense, Milwaukee would’ve gone on to win two titles in a row, as one of the fans commented.
Then there’s the tweet about the Detroit Pistons and if the team regrets trading Middleton to the Bucks for Brandon Jennings, which is a deal that clearly worked out in Milwaukee’s favor, which the three-time NBA All-Star couldn’t help but laugh at.
