The New York Jets season has been something of a disaster.
Despite coming into the year hoping that Aaron Rodgers would turn things around, that hasn’t been the case for the Jets, who have been officially eliminated from the playoffs for several weeks.
To make matters worse, Rodgers’s public image has seemingly gotten worse over time, and former Jets player Keyshawn Johnson wasn’t afraid to let him have it after the Jets’ recent loss.
“He decided to take his ball and go home because he wasn’t getting his way,” Johnson said via “Speak” on FS1.

This refers to when Rodgers benched himself against the Buffalo Bills in Week 17.
The game might have been out of reach, but for Johnson, it’s about the principle.
In Johnson’s mind, Rodgers gave up on the Jets and his teammates, a trait that you don’t want to see coming from your quarterback.
Rodgers has a lot of decisions to make in the offseason, with the biggest being about his future in the league.
Recent rumors and reports have indicated that Rodgers could hang up his cleats after this season, but others believe he’s going to try for another year or so, hoping to recapture the MVP magic he found earlier in his career.
Whatever the case, it’s safe to say that the experiment with the Jets hasn’t gone over well in its first two seasons, and at this point, it would take a near-miracle for the team to bring him back for a third try.
