Not only did the Baltimore Ravens lose a tough one to the Kansas City Chiefs last night 27-20, but they also lost one of their key defenders to injury.
Veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy suffered a fractured orbital bone, according to NFL Network insider Steve Wyche.
“He will undergo further testing to determine how much time he will miss,” Wyche recently wrote on social media.

It is the worst kind of news.
Not only did the Ravens lose an important game against a top contending team in their conference, but they lost one of their best players to possibly a major injury.
Van Noy is a two-time Super Bowl champion and an 11-year veteran.
He was coming off of a career-high season in terms of sacks (9.0) despite starting in just three games.
For the Ravens to go far this season once again, they are going to need the 33-year-old defender to be in the fold.
He is a savvy player that might not get a lot of publicity, but he has played in a lot of big games and produced at a very high level over the years.
The hope is that the injury, from the team’s point of view, is not as severe and time-consuming as it may look.
Now, Baltimore will look to get the sting out of themselves after the loss by moving into Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
It will be interesting to see how they respond after the extra gut punch that the defense took late last night.
