Now that the Milwaukee Bucks have Damian Lillard on board, expectations couldn’t be higher.
For some fans, it’s the Finals or bust in 2023-24.
Many analysts, reporters, and players agree with that.
Speaking on Showtime Basketball, NBA great Kevin Garnett thinks the Bucks are the “most ready to win now.”
“If they don’t win this year, I would be very shocked,” Garnett said.

Garnett thinks it all boils down to the combination and partnership of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Firstly, they are going to work very well together.
But they will also lighten the workload for each other.
With Lillard on the roster, Antetokounmpo will be able to rest for 6 to 8 minutes at a time, according to Garnett.
And the Bucks won’t be doomed with Antetokounmpo on the bench because they will be in steady hands under Lillard’s leadership.
Perhaps more important is the fact that both Lillard and Antetokounmpo have a strong, nearly obsessive desire to win a Finals.
After all, that’s why Lillard asked to be traded away from the Portland Trail Blazers.
And for the last few seasons, Antetokounmpo has repeatedly said his sole goal is to earn himself a second championship ring.
This is a pair of players who have a lot to prove and clear expectations for themselves and their team.
They have been working together for the last few weeks and have certainly done a lot during training camp too.
They have the determination – and the expectations of many – but will Lillard, Antetokounmpo, and the Bucks really be able to deliver?
If they don’t pull this off, Garnett won’t be the only one who is shocked.
