Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is one of the most talented and celebrated stars in the NBA right now.
He’s a two-time MVP currently fighting for his first championship and he might even score a Finals MVP trophy too.
But as much as he loves basketball, he seems to adore his family and his home life so much more.
Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns believes that Jokic is the ultimate anti-celebrity and hopped on Twitter to share his opinion.
“I don’t think jokic wants or cares to be a star. Go to work and go home, FaceTime his horses and hop in the pool,” Durant said in a now-deleted tweet.
It’s all about the simple things in life for Nikola Jokic 😅

It’s not clear why Durant deleted that tweet because it feels fairly accurate.
Ever since joining the league, Jokic has shied away from the limelight and the trappings of fame that other people are so drawn to.
Instead, he returns to his home country of Serbia every summer, spending his time with his family and racing his horses.
When he has received the highest accolades in the league, Jokic has seemed content but not overly excited about it.
However, he has repeatedly said that his main goal in the league is to win the Finals.
For the last few years, he has been the most consistent and powerful player for his Nuggets.
Now with a fully healthy roster and new additions that make the team even better, Denver could be on the verge of doing just that and winning a championship.
But even if that happens, Jokic will definitely then return home to spend his time away from the glitz and glamor of the NBA.
