Led by Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets have surged again as one of the biggest threats in the Eastern Conference.
The Nets are 18-7 since Jacque Vaughn took over, and they’re slowly becoming a much-better defensive team than they were during the Steve Nash era.
Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving have also been steady contributors to their success, but it’s been KD the one to shoulder most of the load in the offense.
That’s why a fan urged the former Finals MVP to take things down a notch and stop clapping back at the referees.
Durant already has 10 technical fouls this season, meaning he’s just 5 away from a one-game suspension with every technical.
Moreover, we haven’t even reached the mid-point in the campaign, so this should be a point of emphasis for KD going forward:
“KD techs getting annoying, he’s 5 away from getting suspended for each one…” one fan tweeted. “I wanna say 7 of my 10 techs have been from me talking to [sic] loud to the refs. Not even using foul language… I’d scream, ‘yo that’s a foul’ and boom,” Durant replied.

Whatever the case, KD should know better at this point in his career.
He knows he’ll get the whistle, as superstars always get better treatment from the officials, so he better not push it.
Thus far, the 34-year-old is averaging a whopping 30.1 points to go along with 6.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 1.7 three-pointers on 56/36/92 shooting splits, so the team definitely cannot afford to have him on street clothes, especially down the stretch.
