Oklahoma City apparently still holds some hard feelings about Kevin Durant.
Durant’s Phoenix Suns played the Thunder in Oklahoma City on Friday night and his reception from fans wasn’t very warm.
Boos were clearly heard when Durant was introduced and the Suns star was asked about this after the game.
“It’s hard to not hear how people react to when your name is called. I understand the dynamics. What being a fan means and what I meant to this city,” Durant told Duane Rankin.
He added, “This is their experience. Before I guess I tried to tell them how to act towards me.”

It has been years since Durant left the Thunder to play for the Golden State Warriors.
At the time, it was seen as one of the most shocking moves in recent NBA history and left a bad taste in the mouths of many Thunder fans.
That bad taste apparently remains and many people haven’t forgotten how Durant exited the team.
Durant seems to have made peace with their reaction, understanding that it is just something that comes with playing in the NBA.
As for Oklahoma City fans, they have a lot to be happy about now.
Their team is second-best in the Western Conference with a strong 51-22 record and they have a very good chance of reaching the top seed before the playoffs kick-off.
After years of slowly rebuilding the roster, the Thunder are now a true force to be reckoned with.
Still, people can’t let go of their tough feelings about Durant.
Durant will forever be an important part of the Thunder’s history but that doesn’t mean all fans will be happy to see him.
