Week 1 of the NFL season is officially underway.
We saw the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens’ season-opener go down to the wire, with the reigning Super Bowl champions winning — literally — by an inch.
Then, the Philadelphia Eagles overcame a sloppy start on offense to rally past the Green Bay Packers in Brazil.
Now, with the rest of the slate ahead of us, Kay Adams asked NBA star Kevin Durant to share some of his picks and predictions for the upcoming season (via FanDuel Sportsbooks).
I got my Commanders and the Bears tomorrow. Who y’all got? @FDSportsbook pic.twitter.com/vR9yzD201f

For starters, he likes Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears to get the win in his NFL debut.
He believes that the Bears have a ‘sneaky deep team,’ especially on offense, so he likes their chances to put up a lot of points all year long and beat the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.
He also thinks Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders will take care of business on the road vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, although he did admit he was biased because they were his team.
Then, when asked about potential MVP winners, he claimed that as much as it would be easy to just roll with guys like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, or Jalen Hurts, he actually believes Dak Prescott has a chance.
Durant admitted to hate the Dallas Cowboys, but since they always play well in the regular season, he couldn’t disrespect the game by not giving Prescott a chance.
It’ll be interesting to go back to these predictions at the end of the season and see how he fared.
