When the Phoenix Suns completed a trade to acquire Bradley Beal last summer, they became the league’s newest superteam.
With the duo of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker already present on the roster, the Suns were expected to easily dominate the Western Conference.
However, fast forward to March 2024, the Suns have a decent record, but they are nowhere close to what was expected of them this season.
The Suns are currently the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 37-26 record.
Obviously, there is some room for improvement for the Suns ahead of the 2024 NBA playoffs.
Despite the organization’s current position in the West, Kevin Durant is apparently content with what the Suns have achieved so far this season, as revealed via Duane Rankin on Twitter.
“We’re getting more and more comfortable with one another as the days go on. We can only get better,” Durant said.
“I like where we are right now. I think we can keep growing. That’s the best thing about it is that we still got room to grow as a team. We’re getting more and more comfortable with one another as the days go on. We can only get better.” Kevin Durant #Suns https://t.co/TleQHEgDdR pic.twitter.com/WYaDjEMFNJ

Durant did mention that the Suns are getting more comfortable with each passing day and from this point, they can only get better ahead of the playoffs.
Ideally, the Suns should be among the top four seeds in the Western Conference this season.
But considering the fact that they have a new roster alongside a new head coach in Frank Vogel, it’s understandable if the team needs some time to reach their true potential.
At the end of the day, the Suns’ ceiling undoubtedly makes them one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA.
A perfect example of the Suns’ true ability was their recent 117-107 win over the defending champions, the Denver Nuggets.
