The last few months have been rough for the Brooklyn Nets and they’ve been especially challenging for Kevin Durant.
After rehabbing from injury, Durant has been hard at work attempting to keep his team alive in the regular season with hopes of having a strong postseason again.
It remains to be seen how that all goes but one thing is for sure: the Nets did far better than the New York Knicks this year.
The rivalry between the two teams is only growing – and Durant rubbed it in a bit on Wednesday night.

Before walking off the court on Wednesday following an impressive win over the Knicks, Durant took a moment to interact with a couple of young fans wearing Knicks jerseys.
He shook hands with the kids and then jokingly told them to “take those jerseys off.”
It was a funny moment – but the fate of the Knicks this season isn’t leaving many fans laughing.
Kings Of New York
There is simply no debate about which New York team is better these days.
While the Nets have had their struggles, they are currently the eighth seed in the East with a 42-38 record.
Meanwhile, the Knicks are out of playoff contention in 12th place.
This season has been an utter collapse for the Knicks, who ended last year in fourth place.
While things are definitely looking bad for the Knicks right now, neither team is ready to win the Finals right now.
They both have quite a ways to go.
Plus, the Knicks are likely about to undergo a massive reconstruction in the summer.
So while Durant is razzing the Knicks right now, if they are rebuilt correctly they could end up being a huge pain in his neck come next season.
