But, nope, that isn’t the case and the two-time NBA champ has been spending his time tweeting and conversing with people on social media.
However, he wasn’t talking smack or getting into heated arguments – he was actually trying to inspire.
Great leadership Maggie. U made everybody in the house better today which adds to your legacy. https://t.co/KiSFCGi92c
— Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) July 12, 2022
It all started when Durant tweeted, “Did u add to your legacy today? If so, what did u do?”
This was followed up with thousands of replies, including one from sports writer Maggie Hendricks, who said, “Um, I emptied the dishwasher?”
Durant responded with praise for Hendricks, saying, “Great leadership Maggie. U made everybody in the house better today which adds to your legacy.”
That’s the spirit, KD!
While it’s all well and good to see Durant spreading the love online, most people are wondering when he and his current team will figure out what’s going on with his future in the league.
KD Contract Drama
There hasn’t been a lot of news coming out of negotiations between Durant and the Nets.
It seems like things have slowed to a snail’s pace and nobody really knows anything.
Durant definitely wants to take off from Brooklyn but the Nets are having a hard time finding a trade package they are comfortable with.
They’re not giving him up for nothing.
In fact, they are demanding a lot – too much for most teams.
There is now speculation that Durant might be forced to still be a Net when training camp begins in a few months.
