The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders have a huge NFC East matchup in Week 16, with the Eagles having a chance to wrap up the division if they can push their current winning streak to 11 games.
Noted Commanders fan Kevin Durant still has faith in his team, and the NBA superstar recently called out the team ahead of the rivalry game.
Durant said the Eagles are looking like potential Super Bowl champions but he also is pleased with his Commanders.
“I like who we are though. This is a part of the season where this game matters. Last year around this time, our games didn’t matter,” Durant said on “Up & Adams.”

Durant added that if the Commanders are going to be the team they want to be, they have to learn to beat teams like the Eagles.
He is clear what he wants the Commanders to be.
“A Super Bowl champion. So however long it takes for us to get there, these games are good lessons for us right now,” Durant said.
The Commanders have won two in a row following a three-game losing streak that brought them back to earth following its strong start, but the main criticism surrounding the team is that it hasn’t beaten a great team yet.
Ending the Eagles’ winning streak might not be enough to win the division, but it would all but wrap up a playoff berth and give the Commanders the confidence they need heading into the postseason, knowing they can beat just about anybody.
