The Phoenix Suns gave birth to the newest superteam in the NBA in the offseason upon completing a blockbuster trade to acquire Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards.
The decision resulted in the Suns having a Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Beal.
Evidently, the fans expected the Suns to be the most dominant team in the league this season.
Unfortunately, due to consistent injury issues for Beal, the Suns’ Big 3 hasn’t played a lot of games together.
While they have shown promise in the small number of games they have played together, NBA analyst Kenny Smith believes the trio is yet to be truly challenged this season, via Duane Rankin on Twitter.
“I’m not really sure when they’re tested, what are they going to do defensively and what are they doing to do offensively yet,” Smith said.
"We’ve seen them play together, but we haven’t seen them tested. I’m not really sure when they’re tested, what are they going to do defensively and what are they doing to do offensively yet."

Smith wants the trio to be truly tested and see how they can perform on the defensive and offensive end of the floor.
As of now, Durant has emerged as the best player on the roster and has averaged 28.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game for the Suns.
Following Durant is Booker with 27.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game to his name.
Lastly, Beal is the third option on the team, adding 18.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game for the organization.
Beal’s injury issues have made him the weakest link in the Big 3, as he has played just 30 games this season.
Despite Beal’s lingering injury troubles, the Suns have managed to attain a 33-22 record and they were the fifth seed in the Western Conference heading into the 2024 NBA All-Star break.
