Just a few weeks ago, Boston Red Sox closer Kenley Jansen achieved a historic mark.
He managed to shut the door on his former team in the Atlanta Braves, picking up his 400th career save in the process.
Jansen signed a two-year deal with the Red Sox in the offseason.
So far, the 35-year-old has had an up-and-down season in his first year with the Sox.
He’s appeared in 15 games and notched 10 saves, posting a 3.95 ERA in the process.
However, that doesn’t take away from his most recent accomplishment.
In fact, Jansen received yet another gift for his milestone.
On Twitter, the Red Sox posted a few photos of Jansen with some new custom sneakers that commemorate his 400th save.

On the night of the historic save, Jansen’s Red Sox teammates got him a bass guitar.
Just two weeks later, he received yet another cool gift from his teammates.
These sneakers have the words “History unlocked” and “400 saves” inscribed on them.
They also feature a custom Red Sox jersey patch with his famous No. 74 on the front side.
The sneakers were delivered to him in a glass container which he opened to reveal his new gift.
Jansen has certainly had a legendary career.
He came to the Major Leagues in 2010 with the Los Angeles Dodgers and won two Reliever of the Year Awards.
He is also a three-time All-Star and won a World Series title in 2020.
He was with the Braves last season before joining the Red Sox.
But so far, his Red Sox tenure has started off quite well, with a historic milestone being reached early in the season.
