The Russell Westbrook experiment hasn’t worked for several NBA teams since he was traded to the Houston Rockets for Chris Paul.
Westbrook has been unable to find another long-term home in the league since that blockbuster trade, as he’s now playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, the sixth different team in his Hall-of-Fame-caliber career.
Although the jury is still out on whether Westbrook truly is a good fit with the Clippers as he’s only been with the team for 16 games, ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins believes that everyone who doubted the superstar guard deserves to give him an apology.
Westbrook is currently trying to fill the void left by fellow superstar Paul George, who is now dealing with an injury that could eventually end his season.

It is too soon to say that Westbrook has turned the corner and is still one of the best guards in the league, but he has helped the Clippers in his short time with the team, and that couldn’t come at a better time for the franchise.
The Clippers are battling for playoff position in the Western Conference, with the team sitting with a record of 41-36, putting them in the five seed ahead of the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors.
Los Angeles has won seven of their last 10 games and does seem to have something going with Westbrook, who has been on a hot streak as of late.
However, Westbrook had hot streaks when he was with the Los Angeles Lakers, but he always seemed to revert to his bad habits.
It remains to be seen if that happens with the Clippers and if he may have finally found his next long-term home in the NBA.
