For years, the New York Knicks were craving a legitimate star.
They hadn’t had a guy who could take over a game, get the crowd going, and put the team on his shoulders since Carmelo Anthony, and it’s hard to remember the last time they had a true franchise-caliber point guard.
That’s why former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to claim that Jalen Brunson is a problem, lauding him for his physicality and how he’s been able to put up big points on the scoreboard this season.
Big Body MF Brunson is a damn Problem… serving people 40 pieces like it’s nothing. Real Talk!

Brunson has been one of the best and most impactful players in the league this season, and he’s currently one of the best point guards in the game as well.
Although he’s not a ‘pass-first’ old-school kind of point guard, he’s been more than able to put the ball on the floor and facilitate for others as a playmaker.
Injuries have taken a toll on Tom Thibodeau’s team’s ability to continue being as dominant as they were after the OG Anunoby trade.
Then again, Brunson continues to do most of the heavy lifting on offense in making sure to keep his team afloat in the playoff race.
Plenty of fans and analysts mocked the Knicks for giving Brunson such a big contract in free agency, and he clearly heard all the noise.
Now, the apology will have to be as loud as the disrespect was for the Villanova product, who should even be an MVP candidate this season.
