Klay Thompson has done everything for the Golden State Warriors.
He’s worked in the shadows, giving up money and shots for the sake of the team and becoming an instrumental part of four NBA championships.
Nonetheless, it’s become evident that he’s no longer the player he used to be.
With that in mind, former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins urged the team to trade him (via First Take).
“For the life of me, I don’t understand why the Warriors won’t stop the bleeding. Trade Klay Thompson” he said.

Thompson was benched down the stretch in the Warriors’ win over the Brooklyn Nets, and he’s struggled to find consistency this season.
The Warriors need to make some moves to stay afloat and make another championship run, and Thompson, just like other veterans, has been entangled in multiple trade rumors throughout the course of the campaign.
Truth be told, if the Warriors were to entertain that idea, there would be no better moment than the present.
He’s on an expiring deal, so he could even re-sign with them in the offseason if it came down to that.
Then again, Stephen Curry has talked multiple times about running it back with their championship core, and it would be tough to envision them doing anything to displease their franchise superstar.
Thompson is one of the greatest shooters of all time and a future first-ballot Hall of Famer, and no one can take anything away from him and what he’s accomplished in this league.
But all good things eventually come to an end, and he looks like a player past his prime who perhaps would be better coming off the bench right now.
