The Portland Trail Blazers might soon come to realize that they need to move on from Damian Lillard.
Lillard has given them his all throughout the course of his career, and they haven’t been able to pay him back.
It’s only time they do right by him and let him play somewhere he could actually have a shot at winning a championship.
With that in mind, former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins believes the Philadelphia 76ers should go all-in to try and get Lillard, even if that costs them losing Tyrese Maxey.

"If Dame was to go and pair with Joel Embiid, they would instantly put them over the hump and probably make them the favorite coming out of the East. … That duo right there would basically be unstoppable." pic.twitter.com/ZSD0L49Q0r

Perkins cites that if people thought the James Harden-Joel Embiid duo was good, then a duo with Lillard would be unstoppable, especially in the pick-and-roll.
He also says that adding Lillard to that mix would be just what they need to finally get over the hump.
Truth be told, Harden does have a history of underperforming when it matters the most, especially in the playoffs.
Lillard, on the other hand, is a bonafide postseason performer and one of the best players in NBA history when it comes to the clutch.
Lillard has always expressed his desire to stay with the Blazers throughout the course of his entire career.
He’s stated that he would never run from the grind and that he would rather go ringless than join another superstar somewhere else.
