The Cincinnati Reds have continued to dig their own hole.
With Team President Phil Castellini making some more questionable comments over the weekend, Reds fans are once again frustrated and are longing for the day that the team changes ownership.
On Monday, MLB insider Ken Rosenthal spoke on the state of the Reds and how they’ve essentially dug themselves into a hole that they can’t easily climb out of.
And Rosenthal did not hold back on the Reds ownership.
Though he acknowledged that several owners in baseball today don’t exactly operate in the most intelligent ways, he went in hard on the Reds ownership, who appear to have taken it to another level.

In truth, it’s hard to argue with what Rosenthal is saying.
Reds fans especially will understand where he’s coming from, as he essentially summed up how the fanbase was truly feeling at the moment.
Fans in Cincinnati are frustrated, and understandably so.
Castellini has continued to miss the point time and time again.
His comments over the weekend are just further proof that the team does not have a bright future and that there is no clear plan in place to improve the team.
Rosenthal suggested that a better strategy would have been to praise general manager Nick Krall for his recent trades and say that soon, the Reds will be on their way back to contention.
But before the fire sale began, the Reds didn’t have a bad team, and were coming off a season in which they nearly captured a Wild Card spot.
A lot has changed since then.
