The Chicago White Sox have been one of baseball’s biggest disappointments this season.
After signing Andrew Benintendi and Mike Clevinger in free agency, the team has fallen flat and they now sit 20 games below the .500 mark.
They’re 12.5 games back of first place in the AL Central and 15 games back in the Wild Card race.
At this point, there is little to no doubt about what the White Sox will be doing this year at the trade deadline.
On the MLB podcast “Foul Territory,” Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic confirmed what the White Sox will do and said without any hesitation that this team is a deadline seller.
"They're selling."@Ken_Rosenthal leaves NO doubt at the White Sox trade deadline strategy.

Rosenthal stated that he believes the White Sox are one of the most obvious sellers in all of baseball.
He predicted that Lucas Giolito and Lance Lynn would both be traded.
Rosenthal briefly commented on Lynn and his ERA, which is currently the second-highest in all of baseball.
Still, Lynn is striking hitters out at a rapid rate, and Rosenthal believes that some teams could be interested in him for that.
Rosenthal believes that the poor defense of the White Sox could be affecting Lynn this year and that a change of scenery could benefit him.
But Rosenthal confirmed that the White Sox are without question selling this year at the deadline.
It’s also possible that the White Sox may look to move Dylan Cease if they are given an offer they cannot pass up.
Either way, the South Siders are punting on the 2023 season and focusing on 2024 and beyond.
