The Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren’t often in the Super Bowl conversation.
Baker Mayfield has put up some impressive numbers as Tom Brady’s replacement, yet they’re not often discussed when mentioning the contenders.
That’s about to change, at least, according to Kay Adams.
Talking on her “Up & Adams” show, the renowned analyst predicted that Todd Bowles’ team will make a deep playoff run this season:
“I believe that Baker Mayfield is going to make the deepest playoff run of his NFL career so far with this Bucs team. It means they make the NFC Championship game at minimum. This team is so complete from top to bottom. It seems like everybody knows what time it is. They want to strike while Mike Evans and Lavonte David are still playing at this elite level. They want to give these guys another ring,” Adams said.

Mayfield has looked great from the very second he set foot in that building.
Even when he played through injury, he still played the best football of his career, and while the bar wasn’t particularly high, he still posted some impressive plays and numbers.
His chemistry with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin Jr. is notorious, and adding another elite pass-catching prospect like Emeka Egbuka will only help their case.
They’ve bolstered their running game and have a perennially underrated defense, and they play in one of the weakest divisions in the league.
The Atlanta Falcons could give them a little trouble and challenge them in the NFC South, yet they might not be at the same level as them, roster-wise.
Also, they still have several players from the Super Bowl days there.
That type of postseason experience cannot be overlooked, as they already know what they’re going up to and what it takes to go the distance.
It won’t be easy, but this team may certainly have the resources to live up to Adams’ sky-high expectations in the stacked NFC.
