After getting the best of the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, the Pittsburgh Steelers had a bit of a rough trip on the way home, with the storied NFL franchise having an unscheduled stop in Kansas City.
Apparently, the Steelers’ plane was forced to land in Kansas City after some complications, which prompted some funny antics from the Kansas City International Airport.
The Twitter account for the Kanas City International Airport sent out the following tweet directed at the Steelers for their unscheduled landing in Missouri.
Sorry you had to make an unscheduled touchdown in Kansas City, @Steelers. That will be the only one this year (not on the @Chiefs schedule). Post season: who knows? Fly safely. pic.twitter.com/KF17e3neN2

After Week 3, the Kansas City Chiefs and Steelers seem to be back on track as two teams in the AFC that could be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the 2023 NFL season.
Even though the Steelers barely got by the lowly Raiders on Sunday night in Las Vegas, Pittsburgh showed some promise, with the offense getting better in comparison to last week against the division-rival Cleveland Browns.
As for the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes and company were able to rebound from an ugly win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, with the defending Super Bowl champions putting up 41 points against the Chicago Bears.
Although these two AFC heavyweights are anything but perfect after the first three games of the 2023 campaign, Pittsburgh and Kansas City will likely continue to get better moving forward and might be headed for a playoff showdown in the coming months.
Only time will tell if these two teams can keep on the right track with a potential meeting down the road when everything will be on the line.
