The wide receiver position in the NFL is arguably as talented as it has ever been, with a few different star receivers in the league in the conversation for being the best wideout.
One of those receivers is Minnesota Vikings up-and-comer star Justin Jefferson, who is off to an incredible start to his career and is already making a solid case as the league’s most elite wide receiver.
Jefferson has only been in the league for three years, and he has made the Pro Bowl in all three seasons while quickly becoming Kirk Cousins’ favorite target in the passing game in Minnesota.
The LSU product’s numbers have been remarkable ever since the Vikings drafted him with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, as he hasn’t caught fewer than 88 passes in a season nor fewer than 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns in his first three years.
Every single year his stats have improved across the board, and he believes that Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, a fellow LSU alum, is the only player he’ll be battling for the top spot at wide receiver in the NFL for years to come, via PFF.

Chase and Jefferson easily make a case for the two best wide receivers in the NFL, but there are a few others players who might beg to differ, like Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins superstar Tyreek Hill.
Other notable wideouts include Cooper Kupp, CeeDee Lamb, A.J. Brown, and Stefon Diggs.
It’ll be interesting to see where things stand at wide receiver in five years and whether Jefferson and Chase are still at the top.
