It didn’t take long for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson to make an impact in the NFL.
He established the single-season rookie record for receiving yards, which was then broken by his former LSU teammate Ja’Marr Chase.
He has also increased his totals from 1,400 yards in 2020 to 1,616 in 2021 and a league-leading 1,809 last year.
Racking up yards this fast most likely means that he will break even more records as his career progresses.
He added another accomplishment when he tied Hall of Famer Lance Alworth the fastest player in NFL history to reach 5,000 receiving yards.
But Jefferson and former Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss are the only NFL players to achieve the 5,000-yard mark prior to turning age 25.

Moss reached 5,000 career yards after 59 games with the Vikings.
In comparison, Jefferson did it in 52 games.
Jefferson had 11 catches for 159 yards against the Eagles on Thursday night.
Four days earlier, he had nine receptions for 150 yards.
But as impressive as those numbers were, the Vikings lost both games.
Worst yet, Jefferson doesn’t have a receiving touchdown after Week 2.
He would have scored his first touchdown against Philadelphia, but fumbling the ball in the end zone led to a touchback for the Eagles.
