The Minnesota Vikings had a great start to their 2022 NFL season by defeating the division rival Green Bay Packers.
While several players contributed to the victory, wide receiver Justin Jefferson was the show’s undisputed star.
He picked up where he left off in 2021 by tallying nine catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns.
Packers players and coaches had nothing left to do but praise the former LSU standout after the game.
Justin Jefferson was getting all the praise on Sunday:
Aaron Jones: “You didn’t have to do us like that.”
Matt LaFleur: “You wore us out today, man.”
Aaron Rodgers: “Best player on the field today.”

Pro Football Focus writer Ari Meirov shared an NFL Films clip of the post-game pleasantries between the Vikings and the Packers.
Running back Aaron Jones, head coach Matt LaFleur, and reigning Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers had nice words for the third-year pro.
Jones said, “Y’all got a one-week lead. You didn’t have to do us like that… You’re a dog.”
Meanwhile, LaFleur mentioned, “Wore us out today, man.”
Finally, Rodgers said, “Best player on the field today…Way to go.”
Jefferson Is On The Rise
Jefferson might have been the best player on the field every week since he entered the NFL in 2019.
He broke Anquan Boldin‘s single-season record of most yards by a rookie with 1,400 yards to go with seven touchdowns.
His former LSU teammate and current Cincinnati Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase broke that record.
However, he elevated his game by tallying 1,616 yards and ten touchdowns in 2021.
Those numbers earned him two Second-Team All-Pro and two Pro Bowl selections.
Meanwhile, that performance against Green Bay should have the Philadelphia Eagles preparing for Jefferson in Week 2.
If Jefferson puts up another dominating game, he will start to build a strong case for Offensive Player of the Year.
More importantly, the Vikings may finally enter the playoffs for the first time in his career.
