The Seattle Mariners announced over the weekend that outfielder Julio Rodriguez has been named to the All-Star team in the American League.
The leading candidate to win the AL Rookie of the Year award, Rodriguez has been a true game-changer for the Mariners and hasn’t been fazed one bit by facing the best pitchers in the world.
To the contrary: he has shown the ability to quickly adjust and let his natural talent speak for himself.
The results have been amazing.
“If you can dream it, you can achieve it! #Believeit,” was his message once it was revealed he was named to the All-Star roster.

An All-Star nod in his first year as a major leaguer: not too shabby, huh?
Rodriguez Is Leading The Charge For Seattle
Rodriguez has been one of the main contributors for the Mariners lately, as the team is starting to turn around its season with eight consecutive wins and a 45-42 record.
After spending weeks drowned in mediocrity, it’s a nice change of pace for a franchise that was on the verge of making the playoffs last year.
Rodriguez, with his .274/.334/.477 line, 15 home runs, 50 runs, 44 RBI, and 21 stolen bases, has been the Mariners’ best player in 2022.
That’s saying a lot, considering they signed the reigning AL Cy Young award winner in Robbie Ray and have other excellent performers.
The hopes of the surging Mariners rest on the 21-year-old’s shoulders.
And you know what?
He appears to have the right mindset, approach, and determination to lead them to the promised land: the postseason.
He clearly has the talent.
Rodriguez has been amazing to watch, and the best news is that he still may not be close to his ceiling.
