For decades, Bill Belichick was one of the most feared people in the National Football League.
It wasn’t just his success on the field that scared people but also his cold and harsh demeanor.
Belichick was known for his attention to detail and running his team with military-like discipline, and not even Tom Brady got any sort of special treatment when he was around.
That’s why it’s been somewhat refreshing to see this new version of Coach Belichick.
Ever since the New England Patriots let him go, we’ve seen a cooler, calmer, and even more funny Belichick.
He even participated in Tom Brady’s roast.
That’s why Julian Edelman believes he’s not the real Bill Belichick.
Talking to Keegan Michael-Key on his Games with Names podcast, the former Patriots star claimed that if you wanted to see the real Belichick, you had to put him in a dark room and make him watch the top 15 worst plays of the week.

Of course, people have to tame their temper and choose their words wisely when they’re on television, which is why Belichick might be biting his tongue every now and then to share his actual thoughts on a clip.
Then again, it’s not like his legacy is at stake anymore, so he clearly doesn’t care as much as he used to when he was out there on the sidelines.
Still, just for the sake of the argument and entertainment, it would be very nice to see and hear Coach Belichick in that situation Edelman just described.
