Pool D of the World Baseball Classic has brought in a lot of people to loanDepot Park in Miami.
The game between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela on Saturday was packed, as was Sunday’s game of Venezuela – Puerto Rico.
On Monday, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua also played in front of thousands of fans.
All of those countries have a lot of people living in areas nearby, and they all made an effort to go watch some top-quality baseball over the weekend and the start of the new week.
If you were worried about them getting their money’s worth with top performances, they definitely did.
Home runs, outs at home plate, rallies, strikeouts, extra-base hits, movement on the bases, savvy strategy, and bullpen management: Pool D has had it all.
San Diego Padres star Juan Soto certainly made the stadium erupt on Monday as he went yard to make sure his country got in the win column against Nicaragua.

Hearing that is causing us to have goosebumps.
It’s what we love about baseball…well, one of the things we love: how the fans give life to it.
Hearing a stadium scream in one voice is amazing.
Soto is showing that the left calf issue that was plaguing him in spring training is a thing of the past.
He also had an extra-base hit on Saturday against Venezuela and had an outfield assist on Monday from left field.
He is having an amazing tournament, but needs to keep it up if the Dominicans are to advance to the quarterfinals.
