The Boston Celtics have made some major changes to their roster this season in the hopes that they will finally capture their 18th NBA championship.
They have been tagged as title contenders for the last few years, but they have ended each season empty-handed and fallen apart at the moment of truth, such as in Game 7 of last season’s Eastern Conference Finals, in which they lost by 19 points at home to the Miami Heat.
One of their new additions is Jrue Holiday, a veteran guard who is expected to make an impact on both ends of the floor.
He made an observation that Celtics fans are more interested in hard work and substance than style points.
“I love the aggression and the environment. They care more about the hard work on defense and getting loose balls over windmill dunks.” he said via Legion Hoops.

Exciting plays such as windmill dunks may put butts in seats, but it is team play on both ends of the floor, rebounding and getting loose balls that win games and ultimately championships.
Holiday has career averages of 16.4 points and 6.5 assists a game, and he has become a good 3-point shooter, which will make him an excellent offensive option in crunch time for Boston.
But it is the other end of the floor, where he is one of the absolute best, where he can really elevate the team and get results.
He has been named to the All-Defensive First or Second Team in five of the last six seasons, and he should be an upgrade over Marcus Smart, a former Defensive Player of the Year, whom the Celtics traded in order to acquire star center Kristaps Porzingis.
