According to some reports, Jrue Holiday was unhappy when he was recently traded from the Boston Celtics to the Portland Trail Blazers.
On top of that, some people aren’t sure how Holiday will fit with the Blazers in 2025-26, leading to speculation about him possibly moving to another squad.
But where would he land?
Grant Afseth is reporting, via Legion Hoops, that Holiday is a “name to watch” on the trade market for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Would he be a great match for the Lakers, and could they move enough pieces to make this trade happen?

Holiday playing alongside LeBron James and Luka Doncic sounds like music to the ears of many Lakers fans, but that doesn’t mean this can happen.
A trade like this would require a lot of moving pieces, and the Lakers are fairly restricted in what they can and cannot do.
Perhaps they could part ways with Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, and Maxi Kleber.
Maybe they have enough contracts they can put together to make this worth it for the Blazers.
If the Lakers pulled this off, it would certainly be their last move of the offseason.
Or perhaps this is a trade that they make in a few months before the deadline.
The Lakers are obviously keen on getting Holiday, now or in the near future.
Last season, he put up 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists for the Celtics.
He’s a two-time All-Star and two-time champion and could be the exact sort of player the Lakers need.
The team would have to put in a lot of effort to make this happen, but it might be worth it for Los Angeles.
