Jrue Holiday’s first season with the Boston Celtics has been a very successful one.
Not only has he helped the team become the top squad in the league, but he has also averaged 12.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.
He seems happy playing for the Celtics, but some members of his family are making his time in Boston a little complicated.
Speaking to Draymond Green, via NBACentral, Holiday said that some of his family shows up at Celtics games wearing Los Angeles Lakers jerseys.

It’s not too surprising to hear that Holiday’s family loves the Lakers.
After all, he hails from Los Angeles and attended UCLA for college.
Like many LA residents, Holiday’s family is filled with proud Lakers fans.
The fact that they’d show up to a Celtics game to support Holiday in Lakers gear just shows how intense the rivalry between the two iconic teams is.
Holiday said that he noticed that and embraced that, especially because the Celtics are devoted to winning no matter who they are playing against.
He was born and raised a Lakers fan but he is still playing as hard as possible even though he’s with that team’s biggest rival.
That’s been paying off because the Celtics are the greatest team in the league right now, holding a 57-15 record that likely won’t be surpassed before the regular season is over.
They are positioned to surge into the playoffs and Holiday could be a huge part of any success they have.
Perhaps Holiday’s family will start wearing Celtics jerseys if the team can win a title this year.
