The Los Angeles Lakers are one win away from reaching the Western Conference Finals, with superstar forward Anthony Davis and company getting the best of the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors in Game 4 on Monday night at Crypto.com Arena.
Although the Lakers came into this series as the underdog, the series has drastically shifted, with the storied NBA franchise getting solid performances out of Davis and some of the team’s role players like Lonnie Walker IV, Rui Hachimura, and D’Angelo Russell.
Davis has taken some flak throughout the playoffs thus far for inconsistent performances, but last night he came through when the team needed him, resulting in a commanding 3-1 series lead for Los Angeles.
Joy Taylor of Fox Sports believes that Davis is starting to prove his doubters wrong and rewrite his legacy as the Lakers continue to press on during the playoffs.
.@JoyTaylorTalks explains why Anthony Davis has been the biggest surprise of the Warriors-Lakers series.

Even though the Lakers have far exceeded expectations in the postseason thus far, going from the Play-in Tournament to one win away from the Western Conference Finals, the job isn’t done yet, and anything can happen from here on out.
The Warriors are as resilient and experienced as any team in the postseason right now, which means they won’t be going down without a fight, especially with this series heading back to San Francisco for Game 5 at the Chase Center.
Yes, the Warriors have to win three games in a row, with one of them back in Los Angeles, but if these playoffs have proven anything, strange things happen.
Davis will have to keep playing at a high level for the Lakers to close out this series against the defending champions.
