After developing a polarizing reputation as a diva during his final years with the Green Bay Packers, star quarterback Aaron Rodgers seems ready to turn the page as a member of the New York Jets.
Although he’s in the midst of his honeymoon period with his new team, he has seemingly said and done all the right things ever since being traded there earlier this offseason.
This week, it was reported that he had restructured his contract to basically defer most of the money he is owed to next season while also taking a huge pay cut.

After leading Green Bay to a Super Bowl championship in 2010, it looked like Rodgers was following in the footsteps of the legendary Brett Favre and that he had an excellent chance of becoming an even better player at the end of the day.
But most of his tenure with the Packers was marred by early playoff exits, as well as what some saw as self-centered behavior and negative vibes.
Last season, after trading star wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders, the Packers simply had no offensive firepower, and they missed the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
But now, Rodgers is part of a talented cast on both sides of the football in New York, and even though his new team isn’t the favorite to win it all, it will at least have a puncher’s chance of doing so.
