Some NFL fans may have been terribly confused Sunday night when seeing Josh Rosen in an Atlanta Falcons uniform.
His journey continues.
Rosen began the year with the San Francisco 49ers, only to be let go given the competition between Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo.
He seemed to be under pressure there when he was only competing for a third-string job.
Being released and then signed by Atlanta meant he truly had nothing to lose and he proved that Sunday with a beautiful touchdown pass against the Cleveland Browns.

Throws like that show why Rosen was the No. 10 overall pick in 2018.
Of course, doing that on a regular basis would have changed his fortunes.
Another Opportunity
The next few days are going to be tough for plenty of players around the NFL.
Hundreds of individuals are about to be cut and a lot will find places on other teams.
Rosen could be another casualty, but then again the Falcons did bring him in late for a reason.
If Patrick mahomes made this Josh Rosen throw it would be on SportsCenter for a week straight lmao pic.twitter.com/4y3JivX50x

He went 9/18 in his debut with 118 yards and a touchdown in a game where he could not have known too much of the offense.
They could keep him on in a reserve role at a time when AJ McCarron is out with an injury.
Or, Rosen could hit the practice squad and learn there, with the inherent risk of another team poaching him away.
Yet at this point, the poaching is not too likely given how well-traveled he has become.
The Story Continues
Rosen is still only 24 years old and the Falcons are his fifth team since being a first-round pick in 2018.
His last starting opportunity came in Miami, three teams ago, but that was only two years ago.
He should now focus on putting some good work on tape and hoping coaches around the league keep taking a chance on him.
Given the fact he can be attained for very little cost, it makes too much sense to bring him aboard and at least offer a tryout.
His touchdown throw Sunday night is what will continue to have his phone ring when he is in search of a new team.
The talent is there, for sure.
But can it be seen on a full-time basis?
That is what coaches will be trying to unlock, even though Rosen will only ever begin a new stint in a reserve role.
