Josh Hart of the New York Knicks is standing by his former coach.
In the days since Tom Thibodeau’s firing, there have been a lot of stories and opinions about his time leading the Knicks.
Hart took to social media to share his view and lambast the people who have talked trash.
“All yall talking trash about Thibs lame as hell. A different direction was taken but yall should be appreciative for what he did for the team and organization,” Hart posted on X.

During Thibodeau’s tenure in New York, there were plenty of people calling him out for his choices.
Most notably, some said that he was too reliant on his starting five and didn’t make enough adjustments.
They also said that he ran his players into the ground, demanding too much from them and driving them to physical exhaustion.
Hart was one of the players who was used the most, often being played for nearly every minute during the postseason.
But he doesn’t seem to have a problem with Thibodeau and wishes other people would be quiet about him.
Regardless of the complaints about Thibodeau, he had a sturdy track record during his time in New York.
He helped the team become relevant again and led them toward the top of the standings.
Plus, he got them all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in many years.
The front office wasn’t seeing enough from Thibodeau and didn’t trust him to take the next necessary steps, but the players clearly liked him.
They are moving on, but they want their former coach and his accomplishments to be respected.
