The best pitchers in all of baseball are able to take it right to the opposing team on most nights.
No lineup is too great for their pitch arsenal and the way they attack hitters.
But sometimes, there’s just that one team that ends up being a thorn in your side.
A certain pitcher may try everything in his power to stop the opposing lineup that gives him such fits, but often times, it’s to no avail.
For new San Diego Padres closer Josh Hader, the San Francisco Giants are that team.
Though San Diego ended up winning last night on Manny Machado‘s walk-off home run, Hader surrendered three runs in the top of the ninth that allowed San Francisco to creep back and tie the game.
Giants insider Alex Pavlovic tweeted an interesting fact, that the Giants have scored nine runs in three games against Hader, while other teams have scored just 10 runs in 37 games.
The Giants have tied it up in the top of the ninth. Josh Hader has given up 9 runs in 3 games against the Giants and 10 runs in 37 games against everyone else.

Giants Continue To Plague Hader
Sometimes, there’s just that one team that gives you fits.
For Hader, it’s the Giants.
Even the best pitchers in the business have that team that they can’t seem to get dialed in against.
And the Giants gave Hader more fits last night.
Fortunately for him, reliever Tim Hill was able to bail him out and the Padres managed to walk-off their NL West rivals.
But that doesn’t take the sting out of allowing three runs in the ninth inning to tie the game.
The 2022 season has been somewhat of a rough go for the usually dominant Hader.
Hader finds himself saddled with a 4.66 ERA on the season.
Last night’s blown save was his third of the season.
