While the Davante Adams-to-the-Jets move grabbed major headlines, the Buffalo Bills made a blockbuster deal of their own on Tuesday.
They were able to swing a deal for Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper.
He now will look to help Josh Allen and Co. ascend to a whole new level on offense.
Speaking of Allen, the franchise quarterback was recently asked about his thoughts on his team acquiring Cooper.
“Very excited about him,” Allen said. “I’ve been a very big fan of his for a long time, very smart, very detailed, and the way that he runs his routes, and I think he can help us a lot.”
It definitely doesn’t hurt to have a five-time Pro Bowl receiver, who is coming off his best career season, walking around the halls in Orchard Park.
The former Alabama Crimson Tide star has had success everywhere he has been in this league.
He has recorded multiple 1,000-yard seasons in each of his stops during his NFL career (Raiders, Cowboys, Browns).
Last season, in his ninth career season, he recorded a career-best 1,250 receiving yards.
What was most impressive about that was the fact that he did it while catching passes from multiple quarterbacks in his age-29 season while also not playing a full year.
Now, he is about to go play with arguably the best quarterback that he has ever played with in his career.
Plus, the Bills might give him the best chance in his career so far to win a Super Bowl.
