Jordan Poole’s troubled season continued on Thursday night, as he was moved to the bench for the start of the Washington Wizards’ game against the Denver Nuggets.
This was the first time this season that Poole didn’t start with the Wizards and he clearly had a strong reaction to it.
Speaking with Ava Wallace, Poole didn’t hide his displeasure with the change.
“If there’s any common sense, with the situation, you should know how I feel. But I’m just going to come out, do what I can do to help the team, keep it moving,” Poole said.

Poole produced 18 points and 2 steals during the game but he still had a lot of problems once again.
He shot 3-of-9 from the three-point line and 4-of-17 from the field.
In the end, the Wizards couldn’t come close to the defending champions and the Nuggets won, 130-110.
This was just the latest setback for Poole in a season full of them.
He is averaging 15.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists this season, shooting 39.6% from the field and 30.4% from the three-point line.
Across the board, his numbers have dropped since coming to DC from the Golden State Warriors last summer.
When Poole moved to the Wizards, the idea was that he could lead the team alongside Kyle Kuzma and start a new, promising chapter of his career.
Instead, Poole has repeatedly looked off his game and not like the up-and-coming talent he was just last season.
The Wizards are sitting toward the bottom of the Eastern Conference and their chances of making the playoffs are just about gone.
That means that Poole can use the rest of the season to adjust to his new role, work his way back into the starting five, or enhance his skills so he can look impressive again next season.
