If the Indianapolis Colts are going to make the NFL playoffs, they will have to overcome the injury bug.
Lately, quarterback Anthony Richardson, wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and running back Jonathan Taylor have been banged up, and Richardson and Taylor have missed two games apiece.
Taylor has been dealing with an ankle injury, but he said it is feeling better.
“I’m sure it’ll be back in no time,” Taylor said, via SiriusXM NFL Radio.

In his five seasons in the NFL, when Taylor has been healthy, he has been arguably the best running back in the league.
But since leading the league in rushing attempts, yards and touchdowns in the 2021 season, he has had trouble staying healthy.
He played in a total of 21 games in the following two seasons, and as a result, his numbers went down significantly.
But this season, he’s averaging 87.3 rushing yards per game, the second-highest mark of his NFL career, and he has scored four touchdowns in four games played.
The Colts host the struggling Miami Dolphins in Week 7, and one figures it should be a winnable game, especially if Taylor is able to play.
Meanwhile, Pittman is dealing with a back injury and didn’t take part in practice, while Richardson did participate fully despite his oblique injury.
Indianapolis has three challenging games ahead against the Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills, and those contests should tell a lot about its chances of reaching the postseason.
