The Golden State Warriors were playing well after the All-Star break, but they were handed a huge blow during their recent matchup against the Chicago Bulls.
Curry suffered an ankle injury and limped to the locker room late in the game.
The 2x MVP was sidelined during the Warriors’ recent game against the San Antonio Spurs and is expected to miss at least the next game against the Spurs as well before getting re-evaluated on Tuesday.
In Curry’s absence, the Warriors suffered a 126-113 loss vs. the Spurs.
Jonathan Kuminga refused to use Curry’s absence as an excuse for the defeat against the Spurs during the postgame conference, as revealed via Warriors on NBCS.
“Just us missing him doesn’t mean we have to go out there and lose,” Kuminga said.

There is no doubt that Stephen Curry is currently the best player on the Warriors roster.
But even without Curry on the court, the 2022 NBA champions have multiple players who can take over the game.
Keeping that in mind, Kuminga was understandably upset after the team’s loss against the 15th-seeded Spurs.
Although the Warriors were defeated, Kuminga had 26 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists in 30 minutes of playing time.
Following the 13-point defeat, the Warriors have fallen to a 33-30 record on the season.
The organization is currently the 10th seed in the Western Conference, with just 19 games left to be played this season.
With Curry’s return in question, the Warriors have a tough task ahead of them to remain among the top 10 seeds in the West.
