Jonathan Kuminga was back with the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night, playing his first game since the end of March because of a knee injury.
But after months of being a starter, Kuminga came off the bench during Sunday’s game.
Afterward, he spoke with NBC Sports and was asked about becoming part of the team’s second unit.
He didn’t have a problem with head coach Steve Kerr’s decision.
“Everything is moving well. Why would you want to move away from what is moving well?” Kuminga said.

Kuminga’s 21 points and 10 rebounds showed that he was picking up where he left off at the end of March.
But Kerr made it clear that Kuminga might be coming off the bench for the rest of the season.
Kuminga with the second unit gives the Warriors a lot more depth and can keep them competitive for the entire game.
Kerr is attempting to work out the best lineup possible to keep the team’s playoff hopes alive.
Kuminga is coming back to Golden State at a very pivotal time.
The team is the tenth in the West with a 43-35 record and is fighting for a spot in the Play-In Tournament.
They are hoping that Kuminga continues to put up big numbers and remain consistent, both as a starter or off the bench.
He has been a very welcome and pleasant surprise for the team all season long, averaging 16.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
After a couple of years of being a bench player, Kuminga earned his spot as a starter and many fans are hoping he gets it back soon.
That might happen but Kerr is going to stick with his current lineup, at least for the time being.
