The Baltimore Ravens began training camp without J.K Dobbins, as he’s been on the PUP list throughout camp.
Dobbins established himself as the Ravens’ lead back but has caught the injury bug, and has been unable to consistently stay on the field.
After a training camp session, head coach John Harbaugh spoke to the media about Dobbins’ current state.
“The ball is in J.K.’s court,” Harbaugh said via Jamison Hensley of ESPN.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he spoke to RB J.K. Dobbins yesterday. Dobbins has been on PUP for the first 12 practices of training camp.
“The ball is in J.K.’s court,” Harbaugh said.

He also indicated that Dobbins should be back to the team soon, ready to contribute in a big way.
During the Lamar Jackson era, the Ravens haven’t necessarily utilized their running backs traditionally.
In the 2022 NFL season, the Ravens relied more heavily on Jackson to carry the bulk of their rushing carries, given his athleticism.
However, now that they brought in Todd Monken as their offensive coordinator, the Ravens’ offense is slated to look significantly different.
If healthy, Dobbins should be a valued part of this organization as they move in a new direction.
This new style of offense might be able to propel the Ravens to not only a playoff berth but a potential deep run in the playoffs.
They haven’t been able to reach the AFC Championship during Jackson’s tenure, largely because they’ve kept a similar gameplan throughout the years.
Can a new style of play in 2023 help bring the Ravens to greater heights, giving them a better chance to win their division?
