The NFL has a few surprises each season that even the best analysts do not see coming.
For instance, the New York Giants were a playoff team last year, and many expected them to do so again.
Due to injuries, some bad luck, and other circumstances, the Giants are 2-7 and seemingly out of the playoff race.
The same can be said about the AFC North.
Many pundits predicted the Cincinnati Bengals to run away with the division, but it has been the Baltimore Ravens who have dominated thus far.
This division race has been closer than many anticipated, as three teams are tied for second place with a 5-3 record.
John Harbaugh recently spoke about the AFC North in a recent press conference, saying, “It’s really awesome that we have a great division,” adding, “It’s the best division.”
#Ravens coach John Harbaugh on the AFC North and how every team in the division holds a playoff spot: "It's really awesome that we have a great division. It's the best division. It's proven. We all know what happens when we play each other."

He has an understanding that the AFC North has played exceptionally well this season, better than many expected.
The Ravens have a 7-2 record, which has come on the heels of one of the best defenses in the league along with an impressive offense.
Lamar Jackson is back in the MVP conversation, something that hasn’t been the case since he won the award in 2019.
While they have a two-game lead on the rest of the division, the Ravens must keep their foot on the gas.
A small slip-up to a team they aren’t supposed to lose to could cost them a chance at the division title.
This race for the division title could come down to the last game of the season.
