Brian Flores is taking on the entire NFL with his lawsuit and that includes Denver Broncos legend and executive John Elway.
The lawsuit, centered on Flores allegedly receiving unfair and discriminatory treatment as a head coaching candidate, claims Elway and other Broncos executives showed up severely hungover to his interview in 2019.
He also claims they were an hour late.
This is an awful look for Elway and everyone in that Broncos leadership group.
Of course, the team itself issued a denial.
The former franchise quarterback decided to release his own statement Thursday.

Elway explains that he and his fellow Broncos staff flew in on a red eye for an early-morning interview.
That part seems to be the most important.
If everyone was simply tired, that is understandable.
But if they were hungover and “disheveled,” that would be incredibly disrespectful to Flores.
So who is telling the truth here?
Something That Is Tough To Prove
Unless there is video footage of this meeting, it remains a “he said, he said” situation.
Elway claims he was tired, and Flores claims the entire group was out drinking heavily the night before.
Broncos insider Benjamin Allbright offered up his own take on the matter.
Flores may be telling the truth, and there DEFINITELY is a systemic problem with getting minorities headcoaching opportunities…

He claims there is skepticism about the specific instances regarding Flores’ time with the New York Giants and Broncos.
Allbright also acknowledges how there is clearly a systemic problem with minority head coaches getting opportunities in the NFL.
This focus on Elway and others may end up hurting Flores’ case in the courts, which is unfortunate given its overall intention to improve the lives of so many deserving individuals.
Yet it is still possible he is telling the truth and everyone else is trying to save face.
How we all find out the truth remains to be seen, if that is possible at all.
