The NBA Slam Dunk contest is one of the most enjoyable competitions in the All-Star weekend.
But over the past few years, the level of competition in the event has gone down and it has resulted in some criticism from NBA fans.
In hopes of changing that, Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics played in the competition, but he failed to win.
Instead, Mac McClung ended up winning his second-straight NBA Slam Dunk contest.
Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid believes he could have been crowned the NBA Slam Dunk champion via his official Twitter handle.
“I’m a professional hater but I’m not hating when I say I could win the dunk contest with these scores but not sure the knees would allow it,” Embiid said.

The reason behind Embiid’s announcement is the fact that the level of competition has decreased in the decorated event.
While Embiid made a huge prediction, he also knows his weakness. As the reigning MVP mentioned, it is only possible if his knees allow him.
As good as a player as Embiid is, he has always struggled with injuries in his career.
Before injuring his knee, Embiid was having a sensational season, averaging 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game for the 76ers.
