Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid surely has more than enough cash to spare.
That’s why he could easily afford to pay a fine for his latest celebration, especially considering how much attention and potential endorsements it granted him.
The reigning NBA MVP made the rounds for — once again — replicating the celebration by Triple H and legendary WWE group D-Generation X.
Unsurprisingly, just like it happened last season, the league fined him $35,000 for his ‘obscene gestures.’
That prompted Triple-H himself to invite Embiid to join them on Wrestlemania 40, which is actually going to take place in Philadelphia next April.
Unfortunately for Triple-H and the fans, Embiid actually has different plans for next April, as he intends to be in the midst of a deep postseason run, so he had no choice but to respectfully decline his invitation.
Yes sir!! I would love to but I don’t think I’m gonna be in Philly for that… #NFL https://t.co/1pEM4iaSTB

This isn’t the first time that Embiid has done this celebration, and he’s admitted to being a huge wrestling fan, so perhaps he can join them at some point later in the future.
For now, Embiid and the Sixers only have one goal ahead of them, which is winning an NBA championship.
It’s been a long while since the Sixers were able to make it past the second round of the playoffs.
They recently offloaded James Harden after another drama-filled off-season, surrounding Embiid and Tyrese Maxey with talented role players to try and get over the hump once and for all.
But if that doesn’t work, then maybe Embiid could reconsider this offer.
