The Philadelphia 76ers continue to make great strides this season, cementing themselves as one of the most solid contenders out of the Eastern Conference.
Unsurprisingly, most of that has had to do with Joel Embiid’s stellar play, as he continues to be one of the most dominant two-way forces in the Association.
Embiid is one of the few players who could be a perennial candidate for both MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, albeit he’s not currently a frontrunner to win either award.
However, his defensive prowess was once again on full display last night.
The Sixers hosted Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies, one of the toughest teams in the Western Conference.
True to form, Morant wanted to make a statement by putting Embiid on a poster.
There, the Cameroonian big man rose to the occasion and met him at the rim to deny his shot, putting him on a poster instead of the other way around.

Morant is one of the most athletic and spectacular in-game dunkers the game has ever seen, but Embiid wasn’t going to allow any of that in his house.
The big man finished the night with 27 points, 19 rebounds, six assists, one steal, and six blocks, leading his team to a 110-105 win to kick off the final stretch of the season.
Doc Rivers’ team currently sits at the third spot in the East with a 39-19 record, just three games below the first-seeded Celtics, and they’ll continue to be a threat for as long as Embiid’s healthy.
