As one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL during his time with the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers, Joe Haden knows a thing or two about covering some of the best of the best at the wide receiver position.
The AFC North has been one of the most competitive divisions in the league for quite some time, with the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Browns, and Steelers all having their time to shine over the past decade or so.
During that time, Haden faced some tough opponents that he was tasked with containing on the field, and he recently named the five toughest players he’s ever had to cover in the NFL, via NFL on ESPN.

Antonio Brown, Calvin Johnson, Odell Beckham Jr., Julio Jones and A.J. Green round out a list of incredibly talented wide receivers that would give even the best cornerbacks in the league fits every week.
Only one of these players is still relevant in the NFL, with Beckham getting another chance to shine with the Ravens, catching passes from superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Green recently announced his retirement from the game, and Johnson retired years ago, while Brown quit on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during a game and walked off the field shirtless, never to be seen again in the NFL.
Although the end of Brown’s career in the league was forgettable, to say the least, he was a dominant force at one time and more than deserving of being on this list of elite wideouts.
It’ll be interesting to see if Beckham can keep producing at a high level to add to his legacy after missing an entire season due to a torn ACL he suffered in the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams.
