With Zach Wilson still sidelined by a knee injury, New York Jets quarterback Joe Flacco will get to start in Week 2 when they visit the Cleveland Browns.
The veteran play-caller and one-time Super Bowl winner would like to secure their first victory of 2022 on the road.
However, the Browns are riding high after their 26-24 win against the Carolina Panthers.
But history is on Flacco’s side, as CBS Sports revealed.
Best record by QB against a single opponent (since 2000, min. 15 starts)
Tom Brady vs. Bills: 33-3
Ben Roethlisberger vs. Browns: 25-2-1
Peyton Manning vs. Texans: 17-3

The tweet above showed the best records by a quarterback against a single opponent.
The numbers were compiled from 2000 onwards and require a minimum of 15 starts against the team.
Flacco has won 17 of his 20 meetings against the Browns, tying him with Peyton Manning‘s record versus the Houston Texans.
Tom Brady tops the list with a 33-3 record against the Buffalo Bills.
Meanwhile, Ben Roethlisberger also has a 25-2-1 mark versus Cleveland.
Jets Need To Step Up On Offense
The team that puts up more points still wins an NFL game.
Unfortunately, the Jets did not do much of it during their season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
Aside from a field goal conversion by Greg Zuerlein, their other points came from a touchdown pass from Flacco to Tyler Conklin.
Despite the defeat, the Jets should be encouraged by the performances of Corey Davis, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Michael Carter.
Still, the Browns are no easy opponent, especially on defense with Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney.
Cleveland also has a solid secondary with safety John Johnson and cornerback Denzel Ward.
Playing a flawless game might be the Jets’ best chance to defeat the Browns.
With the team feeding off the crowd’s energy, keeping them silent will help the Jets execute better.
