Former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is in his 14th NFL season.
From 2008-2019, he was with the Ravens.
Flacco led the Ravens to a Super Bowl championship in the 2012 season and was named Super Bowl MVP.
He continued as the Ravens starting quarterback until 2018; he played his best in the playoffs.

A hip injury and the rise of rookie Lamar Jackson brought Flacco’s Ravens career to an end.
Since 2019, the 36-year-old Flacco has bounced around the NFL.
It is only three seasons, but he has been around.
2019
Flacco joined the Denver Broncos.
Ever since the Broncos lost Peyton Manning, they have been in pursuit of their next franchise quarterback.
It never seemed a good fit, and Flacco went 2-6 in the eight games he started.
In those eight games, he threw six touchdowns, five interceptions, and was sacked 26 times.
This is never a winning proposition so he spent only one season with Denver.
2020
Flacco became a New York Jet in 2020.
He managed to find another franchise that could not figure out how to draft or develop a quarterback.
Flacco started four games and went 0-4.
He threw six touchdowns and three interceptions.
When the Jets shuffled Sam Darnold out of town and drafted rookie Zach Wilson, the writing was on the wall that Flacco’s Jets career was over.
2021 – Part One
Flacco found himself signed by his childhood team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
He would serve as a backup to young quarterback Jalen Hurts.
This seemed like a bad idea from the start but was further fueled by Flacco brushing off any type of mentoring role to Hurts.
When asked if Coach Sirianni wanted him to mentor Hurts, Flacco said:
“We didn’t really talk about that too much. … Right now, I’m here to play, to play a part in the role of a 53-man roster that wants to win a lot of football games. Obviously, I’m a competitor … and being a competitor brings out the best in a room anyway, and brings out the best in a football team. So that’s really the conversation that we’ve had at this point.”
The Eagles acquired former Jacksonville Jaguar quarterback Gardner Minshew the minute he became available so Flacco’s future in Philly was always in question after that.

2021 – Part Two
Flacco is reunited with the Jets; however, it is a new coaching staff and offense.
Wilson is out from two to four weeks so Mike White will assume starting quarterback responsibilities in his absence.
Though Jets head coach Robert Saleh is raving about White, the team still made a trade to get the veteran Flacco.
Flacco does have some familiarity with the system.
Joe Flacco should be up to speed quickly on Mike LaFleur's offense, since Flacco spent 2019 in Denver with Rich Scangarello, who's also from the Kyle Shanahan tree.
With Zach Wilson out multiple weeks, the #Jets QB depth chart now includes Flacco, Mike White and Josh Johnson.

It is unclear where Flacco falls on the depth chart.
His Future
Also unclear is how long Flacco will play, or if he will be content the second time around with the Jets.
Since leaving the Ravens, he has started in 12 games.
His record is 2-10.
Whenever he decides to call it a career, it seems as though he will sign a one-day contract with the Ravens to retire with the franchise.
